Our Food
When we think of authentic Chinese food, the stuff you can buy on the streets and in the markets of Sichuan, where our founder grew up, we think fresh. When we think of the Chinese food most Americans know, we think, well...not that.
That's why our goal is to bring fresh, authentic Sichuan flavors into American kitchens. We lovingly crafted our signature Chili Crisp recipe to preserve all the flavors of an authentic Sichuan chili oil, then we added an extra crunch.
Handcrafted in Grand Rapids, Michigan, we carefully select our ingredients from local sources, just like the chefs at the restaurants and shops we love in China. Then we take the time and care required to make our chili crisp in small batches, making sure each batch is perfectly balanced and full of flavor and spice
Who We are
We're the Wangs (rhymes with "wrong"). Tuo (rhymes with "whoah") is from Sichuan. Alexandria is from Michigan. We met in college and one of the first things we bonded over was really good food. As newlyweds, we lived in New York City and were constantly surrounded by amazing cuisines from all over the world.
When we moved to Michigan, however, good Sichuan food was hard to come by. Tuo had always loved making and sharing the food of his hometown with others, so he began bottling his homemade chili crisp and Anyi was born!
We live in West Michigan with our two kids, chickens, and garden where we grow fresh fruits and vegetables to make into delicious homemade eats.

Our Logo
We spent a lot of time thinking about how we wanted to represent our brand (like a LOT).
After a trip to visit family, we were reflecting on what we love most about eating in China. We thought immediately of the farmers who bring their baskets full of fresh, seasonal goods into town to sell each day. Our logo reflects our love of the culture that surrounds food in China, and the love that people in China pour into their food.
While we can't bring you the never-ending variety of a Sichuan farmer's market, we can help you bring a little taste of our favorite flavors into your own kitchen.
